To install Winlog32 for the first time, 'save' the above file to your desktop or other suitable folder on your computer by clicking on the >DOWNLOAD WINLOG32< link above to run the self-installer. The Winlog32 self-installer program will auto-run and please follow the installation instructions.

You may get some security prompts and you will have to accept these to continue.

Do NOT install into ..\Program Files Folder, due to modern operating systems file security behaviour you are strongly advised NOT to install into the ..\Program Files\ folder or sub-folders thereof, choose or make another folder like C:\HAM\ or C:\WINLOG32\ etc.

INSTALLING FOR THE FIRST TIME

Download the above file to your desktop or other suitable folder on your computer.
Double-click on this file to run the self-installer. The Winlog32 self-installer program will auto-run, follow the installation instructions.

UPDATING AN EXISTING VERSION

You are encouraged to keep Winlog32 up-to-date with any new version update.

If you are updating an existing version; the install path may be choosen correctly by the installer however confirm this before proceding as this is not always the case, if incorrect click the "Change Directory" button and select and double-click the correct folder of your CURRENT Winlog32 installation, ensure that that it appears correctly as the "Directory" path in the install dialog, this is IMPORTANT!
ALL update problems are caused by not observing this.

Continue with the set-up, and your previous Winlog32 version will be updated to the latest version available.

LOG database and ancillary database files will be unaffected.

The 'Changes.txt' file installed will contain a summary of the version changes.
